Why are going to go through the trouble of hopping off your console to your computer, turning on steam, then posting to the forum and having to come back over and over for replies? You can simply open a browser on your console, phone, ect and go to any gaming forum. A lot of discussion IS related to vanilla because it's the one version of fallout basically everyone has experience with to some degree, and when there is mod conversation I can keep up as I've kept up to date on the nexus/youtube since launch just in case the modding scene finally convinces me to jump ship. As an established, although granted not extensive steam user, I've never felt different or weird because I play on ps4. I am in fact involved in multiple ps4 related fallout communities that I access as I play, but there are things the steam forum offers (namely the fallout roleplayer group in my case) that I struggle to find elsewhere. I use steam for other games, including fallout NV where I'm present on the forums, learning to mod. Just a note of clarification to those confused why I'm here when I play this game on ps4. I've always wanted to wear a gasmask with my dapper gent.
Although, I think this is what beth was talking about when they talked about 'the way it's meant to be' or whatever in their blog rant against sony
